Sagar Group of Institutions was registered under Sagar Educational Society in the year 2000. Sagar Institute of Technology and Management was the first venture established under the aegis of Sagar Group of Institutions in the year 2002 with the vision to become value based institute in the field of Engineering education to generate professionals of world class in the fields of technology, academics through introducing B.Tech courses in Mechanical, Computer Science & Engineering and Electronics Engineering affiliated to erstwhile Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow (Formerly known as U.P. Technical University) However later on continuing the academic mission, we have extended the branches by offering Information Technology, Electrical Engineering and Civil Engineering presently.
